The Countdown Begins
As we rapidly approach 90 days until the November 4 election, I wanted to take this opportunity to welcome many more of you to the Owens 2008 campaign.
Exciting things are happening. We have recently filled key campaign staff positions. We are upgrading our website, which will have a great deal more content. We’ll be providing regular campaign updates through YouTube videos, podcasting, and this blog. In the coming weeks, we will be putting forth specific policy proposals and challenging our opponents to a substantive debate on the issues that affect Ohioans.
The campaign is certainly gaining momentum, but we need your help. We started this battle with no pre-funded campaign war chest, no big party financial backing, no personal fortune. But, we now have a full-time fundraising team in place and people are responding to the message. So, if you believe in restoring integrity to this important state office, please help the cause and donate now. Remember, Ohio law makes it easy - if you are an Ohio resident and pay state income tax, you can receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit ($50/individual; $100/couple). You can give this money to the government and let the politicians spend it the way they see fit, or you can invest in liberty!
Please also consider signing up as a volunteer. We especially need help organizing local events and getting information out to local media in your area.
