Ohioans have had to put up with repeated scandal from the old two-party system. Again and again there have been promises for reform and change. To that system, Ohioans now say:

This campaign is about a new system - a new generation of Ohioans who don’t believe corporate fat cats and corrupt politicians need to tell us what to do and think. It’s time to get something for your state tax dollars: a better Ohio by helping Robert Owens. Ohio law allows a tax credit on your state income tax for political contributions to this campaign. It’s true—under Ohio law you if you make a $50 contribution to Owens 2008 during this calendar year you’ll get every penny back when you file your state income taxes in 2009. That amount doubles to $100 for married couples.
That means if you support Robert’s efforts in protecting Ohio by writing a check on or before December 31, the state of Ohio will give the money right back as a fully refundable tax credit.

Ohio law limits contributions to $10,670 per donor per election. Donors can include individuals, partnerships, LLCs, professional corporations, and political action committees. Contributions from other corporations are prohibited.
